I'm Angelica, but my friends call me Angel. I am a Colombian anthropologist who has found a deep meaning of life in teaching. Over the last few years, I have worked in various educational areas, highlighting languages, arts and environmental issues. All my experiences with education have had an experiential approach, since I believe that all learning processes are crossed by experience. Pedagogies like Waldorf are a great inspiration for me.
My first time as a second language Spanish teacher was eight years ago in a rural school with indigenous students. During that time, I discovered that confidence in our own abilities is crucial to learning a new language. Therefore, in my classes, mindset and the promotion of self-confidence are essential.
I am fascinated by languages, especially Romance languages such as Italian and Portuguese, which I have studied in depth and in which I have acquired great skill. I also have the ability to communicate in English, although I confess that I have not dedicated as much time to it as I have to other languages.
In addition to being a teacher, I am the mother of a beautiful baby and an enthusiastic learner in agriculture, alternative medicines, and in general, in life itself. I love being in contact with nature, reading, knitting, cooking, exploring psychology and listening to those around me. I believe that each person has an invaluable life story and it is a privilege to learn from others.
